PASSENGERS TOLD TO PEE IN BOTTLES DURING MIDAIR EMERGENCY

Flight from Hell: Passengers told to pee in bottles during travel nightmare

Virgin is grappling with the fallout of a disaster on board a flight from Bali to Brisbane, after all toilets malfunctioned mid-air and passengers were forced to improvise in humiliating conditions.

The ordeal unfolded on Thursday afternoon when Virgin flight VA50 departed Denpasar.

The rear lavatory was already out of service, but the six-hour Boeing 737 MAX 8 service was not delayed or cancelled due to limited engineering support in Bali.

Midway through the journey, the situation worsened when the remaining two toilets failed completely.

“One elderly woman was unable to hold on and suffered the humiliation of wetting herself in public,” a passenger told The Australian.

“Midway through the flight, every toilet failed. For the remaining three hours, the cabin crew informed us we would need to relieve ourselves in bottles or ‘on top of whatever was already in the toilet’.”

According to the passenger, a foul smell filled the air as urine seeped onto the cabin floor.

Virgin Australia confirmed the incident, apologizing to those affected.

“A Virgin Australia flight from Denpasar to Brisbane on Thursday evening experienced an issue during the flight which affected the serviceability of the lavatories,” the airline said in a statement.

“We sincerely apologize to our guests and thank our crew for managing a challenging situation on board.”

The airline said customers would be credited for the flight and contacted directly with updates.

The Transport Workers Union (TWU) said it had reached out to Virgin following the “distressing event, which constitutes a severe hazard both for crew and passengers”.

“Across the board, aviation workers are dealing with increasing risks to their health and safety at work, with an industry-wide trend towards profits over performance,” TWU national assistant secretary Emily McMillan said.

“We need to see decisions made in the interest of public and workers, not just prioritize getting planes out to maximise profits at the expense of the community.”

SKATILOGICAL CELEBRITY CONFESSIONS

Mila Kunis Reveals Why She and Ashton Kutcher Keep Bathrooms Doors Open at Home

The love shared in Mila Kunis and husband Ashton Kutcher's tight-knit family—which includes 8-year-old daughter Wyatt and 6-year-old son Dimitri—knows no boundaries.

So much so, that the Black Swan actress revealed they keep an open-door policy at home.

"That includes the bathroom," she told E! News in September 2022. "It's just one of those where, for better or for worse, as a family and the kids have all kind of embodied bodily function as a very standard norm."

Mila said she arrived at the decision after her family kept knocking on the door and asking to come in, which prompted her to oblige: "I was like, ‘Oh, forget it. Just keep the door open.'"

Pre-kids, she might not have imagined she'd flush that particular boundary away.

She added, "I'd never thought that I would be the person that was able to go to the bathroom with the door open."

Jana Kramer Explains Why "Asparagus Pee" Might've Lead To A Breakup With Chris Evans

Back before the world knew Chris Evans as Captain America and People's Sexiest Man Alive of 2022, Jana Kramer knew him as the "heartthrob, cutie" she went on a few dates with.

It happened more than a decade ago, the singer revealed on her Whine Down with Jana Kramer podcast in November, and though she can't remember "how many dates it was," she does recall their last encounter.

Jana, then about 26 years old, said Chris invited her over to his house while he had friends in town from Boston.

"The last interaction that I remember is him going into the bathroom after I just went with asparagus pee," Jana remembered, referencing the veggie's tendency to give urine a very distinct scent. "We didn't hook up that night. He stayed up late with his friends and then [in] the morning I did the asparagus walk of shame out of his house."

She added, "I never heard from him again."

Jelly Roll Admits He Once Pooped His Pants Onstage

Jelly Roll could’ve used some saving from himself.

The “Save Me” singer was asked about his most embarrassing moment during an April 2025 appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show—and he definitely didn’t hold anything back.

“I pooped myself one time,” he admitted. “I did, I’m sorry.”

But to be fair, Jelly Roll (real name Jason Bradley DeFord) didn’t expect to deal such a lethal blow.

“I was confident it was all air,” he insisted. “I'm so sorry. I watched this crowd go from loving me to just being completely out.”

A WOMAN POOPED HER PANTS ON A DATE, HOW HER BOYFRIEND RESPONDED DETERMINED THEIR FUTURE

A Woman Pooped Her Pants on a Date. How Her Date Responded Determined Their Future (Exclusive)

By Meredith Wilshere  Published on March 2, 2025 04:30AM EST

One woman is breaking down exactly what happened on a date that did not go as expected

In a viral TikTok video, which has garnered more than 9.4 million views, Sophia Panella explains how on a date with her now-fiancé, she realized something was wrong.

"We got sandwiches from one of our favorite local spots, and we were going to watch the sunset with blankets in the back of the car. The sun was setting, and we started eating. I felt completely fine, and my stomach was not upset," Panella told PEOPLE Magazine.

Panella describes how this was the 10th date they were going on together, and she felt well leading up to it. However, "I take one bite of my sandwich and let a little toot out. I didn't think anything of it. Then all of a sudden, it felt off. I moved, and then I knew. In my head, I'm thinking I just pooped my pants, so I do a little sniff test."

" 'Oh my God,' I said out loud, 'I just pooped my pants.' He's laughing and says, 'No, you didn't,' " she adds.

"I got out of the car. I was in a one-piece camo jumpsuit, so it was all trapped in there. I ripped the whole thing off on the side of the road because I was not gonna sit in my own poop."

Panella admits she freaked out when she fully realized what was happening. Thankfully, her now-fiancé is a first responder and has seen much worse. He sprung into action and used blankets to cover her up. He took his response cues from Panella: when she was silent, he was silent; when she laughed, he laughed. Panella called her mom and told her what happened, then drove home to shower and get clean. The date ended, and she picked up the nickname "poopy butt" from her friends and family.

As for her date, he clearly wasn't deterred by this embarrassing moment. Panella applauded him for how he responded, appreciating how he wasn't scared away and didn't make fun of her when it was happening.

"I said, 'You're stuck with me now, this is it. This is forever.' Now we're happily engaged six-and-a-half years later," she shares.

"Anytime I say, 'My stomach is upset' he'll respond, 'Okay, poopy butt.' It's just one of those things we have, and even now, I call him that sometimes too," she adds.

The two of them can laugh about the incident now. "It's an inside joke with us now, too. I'll say, 'Hey, remember when I pooped my pants on a date?' He'll say, 'I'll never forget that.' "

Panella says they even plan to incorporate what she calls the "toot heard 'round the world" as a part of a story for their wedding. "If anyone will say anything, it will probably be my mom," she adds.

FORMER PRICE IS RIGHT PRODUCER REVEALS PROTOCOL FOR WHEN EXCITED CONTESTANTS PEE THEIR PANTS

Former Price is Right Producer Reveals Protocol for When Excited Contestants Accidentally 'Pee Their Pants'

A former 'Price is Right' producer tells PEOPLE some of the show's behind-the-scenes secrets, including how they have protocols in place in case contestants pee their pants

By Gillian Telling  Published on March 23, 2024 10:00AM EDT

The idea of being on national television and winning big bucks is pretty exciting, no matter who you are.

This is why there used to be a protocol in place, in case contestants got a little too enthusiastic when their names were called to come up and play, and they accidentally wet their pants, according to a former Price is Right producer.

"When I got there, they had a system in place in case someone peed their pants," former producer Mike Richards tells PEOPLE.

Richards, who worked behind the scenes at places like Dick Clark productions and Jeopardy!, was at Price is Right as it transitioned from the Bob Barker-hosting era to the Drew Carey-hosting era.

"I never saw it happen, but there were curtains and a blow dryer and [a] pair of sweats just in case, since we'd have to get on with the show," he recalls.

Richards has so many interesting stories from his days as a game show producer, including his short time at Jeopardy!

"A lot of people don't know that before each show, Alex Trebek would walk out and give a little speech, he says. "Not an interview, just a little speech. And no one helped him with that. It was never on a prompter. He just went out and did it, and we had no idea what he was going to say. And every time it sounded like he has spent months writing it. He was just so gifted."

Richards also worked at Let's Make A Deal when it first launched with Wayne Brady as the host.

"We shot that first season in Las Vegas, and it was in August," he recalls. "And the studio did not have enough air conditioning for August in Vegas. It was like 99 degrees in there, and everyone was just sweating through their clothes."

However, armpit stains were the least of their concerns.

"It was 2008. The economy was collapsing. People were sneaking in and sleeping in our bedroom sets," he says.

"I'll also never forget one time the audience coordinator ran up to me and said we only had 15 people in the audience for a 280-person theater. I was like, 'Oh great,'" he continues. "And then, someone else came up to me and said 'Somebody just drove a forklift through the back of the Porsche we were going to give away as the big deal of the day.' The executive producer looks at me and goes, 'I got the Porsche. You get the audience.'"

Richards says he ran across the street into the MGM Grand and began recruiting guests to come to the taping. "I was like, 'You'll get a prize!'" He somehow managed to fill the theater.

"At the end of the day, it all looks like a big polished network production, but there were times we were grappling to get it done," he says.

Richards recently opened up to PEOPLE about losing his job as the new host of Jeopardy!, as well as the ongoing search for a new host, which eventually went to Ken Jennings.

He notes that people have told him he should write a book about all the wild things he's seen working at game shows, but he's only interested in writing about working with his mentors.

"If I wrote a book, it would be as a fan," he explains of getting the chance to work with people like Dick Clark, Bob Barker, Monty Hall, Pat Sajak and of course, Trebek. "Unless it's about those people? I'm not interested."

MY VAGINA SAID WHAT-PEEING: HEY THERE ACCIDENT!

For crying out loud, girls, do something about it already. Wetting yourself, whether dribbling or full-on going in your pants, as well as having to pee tiny amounts every hour or so, may be more common than realized but it is not "normal" or healthy.

SO GLAD THEY TALKED ABOUT INCONTINENCE

I really enjoyed this article from Chatelaine. Despite its being a sponsored article, it was thorough, balanced, informative, and the sponsor's product wasn't even mentioned in the article. In fact, the type of product the sponsor manufactures was only mentioned once and in the context of being for limited use. Definitely had a quality and classiness one does not often see in the mainstream media these days, whether the content is overtly of a sponsored type such as this one or otherwise.

In a career that demands perfection and is a wrecking ball for body image, it is truly great Christoffersen has managed to make a career modeling clothing and that she's been able to use that platform to raise awareness and help people.
