CLOTH DIAPER ANONYMOUS EPISODE 2: CLOTH DIAPER MYTHS

Here's an up-to-date debunking of ten myths about reusable baby diapers.

To myth #9 about the environment, I would reiterate just how reusable cloth diapers are and add the following two arguments:

a) Especially given the fact most parents don't dump the poop, the urine, feces and chemicals in the disposables leech into the groundwater once they're sitting in the landfill. Sure, you're using extra water to wash cloth diapers, but by using disposables you're polluting the future water supply.

b) On average, from what I've heard anyway, babies in fluff tend to toilet train faster. Therefore, the use of cloth diapers is not comparable to that of disposables both because the same diaper will be used over and over again and your child will ultimately be using them for a shorter period of time.
